The item is OK but it was received with a dead battery. Since a replacement battery is cheaper that returning the item, that is what I did and it operates fine. There should certainly be a way to take care of such situations.
I received the light, charged it, did not work. Sent it back, got a new a single and the very same thing, did not work. So in six weeks time, i've been to the post workplace twice (to return lights), I'm out a tiny cash in shipping expenses, and I nonetheless have no emergency light. This has not been an ideal transaction. This was my 1st Amazon invest in and in their defense the return proccess was basic and speedy.
